Meet The Mulligan.
That first throw?
We don't need to talk about it.
He's not cheating. He's simply a firm believer in second chances. And occasionally third chances. Look, nobody's keeping score that closely anyway.
The Mulligan came to the course for three things: good throws, good company, and a nice day outside with his dog. Unfortunately, the good throws have proven somewhat less reliable than the other two.
So when a drive turns over into the woods, catches first available, or sails majestically toward a fairway that belongs to an entirely different hole, he's got a solution.
One finger goes up.
“One more?”
He'll ask like it's a question.
It isn't.
His dog doesn't care. His buddies saw it coming. And somewhere deep down, even The Mulligan knows that if this next one absolutely parks the basket, he's going to spend the rest of the round explaining why that one should obviously count.
